Doctrinal Statement
CONCERNING THE BIBLE: we believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God; that it is truth without any mixture of error. The Books of the Bible were written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. We are fundamental and Bible-believing. The King James Version is Gods perfect Word in the English language. CONCERNING GOD: there is one and only one true and living God, infinite and intelligent, all-knowing. He is the Creator and supreme Ruler of the universe, existing in three Persons. CONCERNING THE HOLY SPIRIT: we believe that He is a divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son. He guides believers into all truth, and convicts sinners of sin, righteousness, and judgment. CONCERNING CHRIST: the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who is our mediator at the Fathers right hand. He was virgin-born, lived a sinless life, and rose from the grave according to the Scriptures. He died on the cross and bore our sin, accomplishing our redemption. He bodily ascended after His resurrection. We believe in His personal, pre-tribulation return. CONCERNING THE FALL OF MAN: man was created in the image of God; but, by choice, he fell into sin and death. Therefore, every person inherits a sinful nature and needs salvation. CONCERNING THE NEW BIRTH: we believe that in order to be saved, sinners must repent and believe the Gospel. To be born again is not a process, but instantaneous. Salvation is by grace, and it is life-changing. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Gods will is for all men to be saved. CONCERNING THE SECURITY OF THE BELIEVERS: the believer is kept eternally by Gods power. Once truly saved, the Christian is secure forever, possessing eternal life. We may lose our joy or testimony, but we cannot lose our salvation. The relationship cannot be broken. CONCERNING HEAVEN AND HELL: we preach the eternal blessedness of the saved in Heaven, and the eternal punishment of the unsaved in the lake of fire. CONCERNING THE LOCAL CHURCH: the visible church is a congregation of baptized believers, practicing New Testament principles and doctrines, and exercising Spirit-led autonomy. The two ordinances of the local church are baptism and communion. The local church is Gods plan. Our mandate is the Great Commission. We are debtors to the world, to give them the Gospel. Every church must pray, give, and go. The harvest is plenteous..
